It lets you get to your massive threats a little bit faster, which is exactly what green decks want to do
The active player has priority after the spell resolves, so they can immediately cast a new spell
As you probably know, before my game fell apart I was running a Ravenloft game and it just so happens that the most recent set of Magic cards: Innistrad, was becoming a rather large piece of inspiration for setting up my game, especially the monsters (see my Grave Titan)
Mono colored decks can struggle with one or the other, but that's not much you can do about this except run another color
(1/24/2025) If you choose Triskaidekaphobia's second mode and begin to resolve it while an opponent's life total is 13 and your life total is 1, that opponent will lose the game before you lose 1 life
But , this doesnt prevent it from getting copied
